What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese word for Universal Life Energy. Reiki is another word for "Source Energy", used through hands on healing. Reiki is not a religion nor is there a specific belief system needed. What Reiki does is to help balance energy and restore & revitalize your well being. Sometimes the results are immediate and at other times more gradual, showing improvement over time through several sessions. You may experience a tingling sensation, warmth, or nothing at all. All of these feelings are perfectly normal as each person is different. By applying a non-invasive hands on (or off) approach, a practitioner can unblock or release tension, freeing up and healing that area. Reiki can be done laying down or sitting in a chair, fully clothed.
Reiki works along with conventional medicine and other holistic therapies.

stop by the veterans art center with proof of military service and let them know you would like to sign up for the healing arts programs.
