This is a unique opportunity for our Veterans to find relief from the symptoms associated with PTSD—stress, insomnia, anxiety, pain, symptoms of chemical dependency/withdrawal, and ruminating thoughts to name a few, and is considered a harms reduction therapy.
Acupuncture is an effective non-verbal, non-chemical treatment that alleviates symptoms, promotes healing, and in a group setting builds community.
Sessions are held every 2 weeks on Friday afternoons at 4:30. Acupuncture services provided by Ryan Powell, BS, MSOM, Licensed Acupuncturist, Acupuncture Solutions, Grand Junction.
The program is funded with the help of a DMVA grant and is free to Veterans.
